Hate birth control pills but love sex?

Do you hate “the pill?”

Perhaps one of these alternatives can help keep you baby free without all the hormones coursing through your system.  They are all typically available at your local drug or health food store.    As with anything, I would suggest doing some independent research before committing to any of these methods.

Also, Please keep in mind these few things:

1- I’m not a doctor nor a healthcare professional.  Always consult your gyny first.
2 – The ONLY way to for sure prevent pregnancy is to not have sex in the first place, but what’s the fun in that?
3 – Aside from abstinence, the BEST way to help prevent sexually transmitted diseases and infections, is through the use of a condom.

A great place to start to make your own personal evaluation is this chart that rates effectiveness of the various methods.

Fertility Based Methods

Scary, in my opinion, but many people swear by it.

Herbal Contraception

I would call these these “uncharted” territory.  We’re not too big on herbal remedies in the United States, so there really isn’t any substantial research to back up many of the claims I came across.  Not to mention the “hippie” feel of the sites I found on the subject. However – knowledge is power.  Here are a few to consider/research on your own.
